We congratulate our member Association of Consulting Engineers of Serbia (ACES) for their #15Anniversary and for organising a regional conference on the Future Trends in Construction, bringing together the relevant actors in the infrastructure industry. Construction is one of the main contributors to the Serbian GDP, with a 17 billion € investment portfolio over the next three years. Aligning the sector with the #green and #digital transitions requires a strong #collaborative effort, and it is critical to raise the #capabilities of all actors involved, namely the #public administration. Our President, Ines Ferguson , gave the Key Note Speech to highlight the importance of introducing innovative and sustainable approaches from the #early phases to make investments more #competitive and attractive to private investment. Jaap de Koning ( Koninklijke NLingenieurs ) exposed the benefits of using of #MEAT as the award criteria in public contracts and the revision of the #EU Public Procurement Directive Ulla Sassarsson ( Foreningen af Rådgivende Ingeniører, FRI ) introduced the transaction cost perspective in procurement, and explained the most frequent procedures used in Denmark. We will continue working closely with Branislav Simovic , Nikola Vladislav Matic and Bojan Dinic in #simplifying procedures, improving #procurement , #educating clients and promoting large competitive #investments in #Serbia , the #Balkans and #CentralEurope .
