🌍 Throwback to the World Dairy Summit held in Paris earlier this month! 🎙️ During in-depth discussion sessions, our experts Vincenzo Benevento , Director Processing Liquid Food Solutions, and Maria Norlin , Dairy Business Stream Director, highlighted our commitment to sustainability and our role leading collective actions such as the Global Dairy Processing Task Force, in support of the ‘Pathways to Dairy Net Zero’ initiative. They outlined our target to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our ambient dairy processing lines by 50% by 2030, by introducing water and energy saving solutions - including with our one-step UHT processing lines and equipment improvements. 🌐 We also highlighted our contribution to sustainable food systems, building resilient supply chains to ensure a global supply of milk, while meeting the needs of tomorrow's consumers. Vincenzo Benevento opened the innovation awards ceremony with a reminder of the importance of innovation for the continued reduction of emissions in the dairy sector. 🌍 Retour sur le Sommet International du Lait qui s'est tenu du 15 au 18 octobre ! 🎙️ Lors de sessions d'échanges approfondis, nos experts Vincenzo Benevento , Directeur de la Business Unit Processing Liquid Food Solutions, et Maria Norlin , Directrice du Business Stream Dairy, ont mis en avant notre engagement pour la durabilité et notre rôle dans des actions collectives telles que la Global Dairy Processing Taskforce, en soutien à l'initiative « Pathways to Dairy Net Zero ». Ils ont présenté notre objectif de réduire de 50 % les émissions de gaz à effet de serre dans nos chaînes de transformation à température ambiante d'ici 2030, en introduisant des solutions permettant d’économiser l’eau et l'énergie – notamment avec nos chaînes de transformation UHT en une étape et des améliorations de nos équipements. 🌐 Nous avons également souligné notre contribution aux systèmes alimentaires durables, en construisant des chaînes d'approvisionnement résiliantes pour assurer un approvisionnement mondial en lait, tout en répondant aux besoins des consommateurs de demain. #ciencialáctea Con el primer lugar en los trabajos científicos presentados en la Cumbre Mundial de la Leche #IDFWDS2024 en París donde se recibió 150 investigaciones, el investigador @udeconcepcion Dr. Marcos Muñoz y su equipo fueron premiados por los avances en conocimiento sobre biopelículas bacterianas. La participación chilena fue destacada, ya que se sumó a los trabajos presentados y seleccionados por el jurado, donde también fue nominado el poster presentado por el coordinador del Área Lácteos y Nutrición del Consorcio Lechero, Roberto Koch, quién junto a un grupo de investigadores del Comité Científico de Lácteos presentaron los resultados del consumo de quesos y menor riesgo de obesidad en adultos. En tanto, la coordinadora del área de Producción de Leche, Alejandra Viedma, junto a miembros del Comité de Bienestar Animal, presentó un trabajo que mostró el aporte hecho en la generación de conocimiento y difusión en bienestar animal para el sector lechero, a través de este grupo. Se suma el poster presentado por el especialista de DeLaval, Dr. Enrique Bombal, con el trabajo «From legislation to action: Promoting dairy cattle welfare, the journey of Chilean Dairy Consortium».
