Miami Innovation Accelerator Corporation, operating as MiAFi, is a public-private partnership that aims to establish Miami as a global financial hub. It focuses on fostering innovation, attracting financial institutions, and promoting economic development in the region.

Miami University Social Impact Fund is one of the first of its kind: a socially-focused, seed-stage, investment fund led by undergraduate students, providing students with the opportunity to invest up to $50,000 in social enterprises.

Last night, Social Impact Fund attended Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub's SustainableCincy Fall 2022 Cohort Launch at MadTree Brewing Company in Cincinnati. SustainableCincy is an 8-week accelerator program for early-stage startups in the environmental sustainability space, and this fall's cohort blew us away. Congratulations to all the coaches and participants, and thank you to Flywheel for having us!

This week SIF had the pleasure of collaborating with Advancing Women in Entrepreneurship (AWE) to host Nicole Armstrong in a discussion about women in entrepreneurship. Thank you to everyone who participated!

SIF is pleased to announce the launch of the Council on Social Entrepreneurship's (COSE) Client Challenge with Blue Ocean Solids.  Blue Ocean  is a 2021 Flywheel Social Enterprise Hub SustainableCincy alumni and an SIF portfolio company that seeks to provide safer and more sustainable water treatment options for commercial, institutional, and industrial facilities.  Blue Ocean's treatment options also have a much lower carbon footprint given the elimination of a toxic, liquid based formula.

We are excited to see the value that participants can bring to both Marc Beller and Kathleen Collier along with what that can translate to in terms of impact on nearby communities.
