Give 8/28 isn’t like other fundraising campaigns. It takes place during Black Philanthropy Month and commemorates multiple important historical landmarks in Black American’s march toward freedom that all happened on August 28, such as the day Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his iconic “I Have A Dream” speech in Washington, D.C. on August 28, 1963.
