NBAA YoPro's Elayna Hall and Collin King were on hand at the 18th Annual Aviation Education & Career Expo at Rider Jet Center at Hagerstown Regional Airport , where over 1,000 students, educators, and parents came together to explore careers in aviation and aerospace. The event featured hands-on exhibits, live demonstrations, and inspiring talks from industry experts. Over $180,000 in scholarships were awarded to help students pursue their passion in fields like flight training, avionics, and aerospace engineering. Special thanks to RIDER JET CENTER and Paragon Aviation Group for their ongoing support in making this event possible and for helping ignite excitement for aviation’s next generation.

The Department of Transportation’s (DOT’s) Aerospace Supply Chain Resiliency (ASCR) Task Force issued a Congressionally commissioned report this week citing the industry’s essential role in the U.S. and global economies, and setting forth actionable recommendations offered by NBAA and other stakeholder groups represented in the work of the task force.

We were honored to present awards on Nov. 6 at the National Aeronautic Association ’s Fall Awards in Washington, DC, where Andrew Broom, MBA , Chief Revenue Officer, presented on behalf of NBAA. This event celebrated extraordinary contributions in public benefit flying, medical transport, and STEM education, aligning with our #ClimbingFast campaign supporting humanitarian aviation. Congratulations to: David Brubaker – "Distinguished Volunteer Pilot Award." A retired USAF Brigadier General with 3,000+ flight hours, David inspires youth in 43 states through STEM Flights. Jim Hessman – "Outstanding Achievement in Advancement of Public Benefit Flying." With over 20 years of service, Jim has dedicated himself to organizations like Angel Flight West and Dreams and Wings and currently serves as President of the Air Care Alliance Board. Gib Godwin, David Linton, and JV Venable of MMA – "Outstanding Achievement in Public Benefit Flying." With 50+ years of service, MMA has provided critical medical transport, completing over 35,000 patient trips annually.
