Completing a long series of work that should have widespread applicability to many fields of study and practical use, the OGF Data Format Description Language (DFDL) v1.0 specification is now available as a published ISO/IEC standard! Further work will continue through the Publicly Available Specification (PAS) process between OGF and ISO/IEC JTC1 SC38 and opportunities to participate in this work and its many applications exist in a broad range of areas.
