A few key takeaways from the discussion: 
1) Let students “try on” college: When students earn college credit in high school, they get a head start on college, build confidence that they belong in college, and improve their academic and career outcomes.
2) Learning doesn’t have to be linear: To prepare students, we should blur the lines between high school, college, and work experience.
3) Students need “high currency” coursework: Some courses are highly relevant and put students on a path toward high-wage jobs.
4) It’s up to us: We must proactively identify workforce trends and create opportunities to prepare our students for career success.

Today’s an important milestone on our mission to increase access to quality education: 

We're launching a new way for students and professionals to simultaneously obtain in-demand job skills from Google while earning college credit.

Google's popular Career Certificates in fields including data analytics, digital marketing, IT support, and project management will be available via Outlier.org with the option to earn transferable college credit from Golden Gate University.

We're thrilled to roll out this offering initially to high school dual enrollment and corporate learning programs as well as students enrolled in the Degrees+ associate degree. Thomas A. Edison CTE High School in New York City will be among the first to make this opportunity available to over 200 students this fall.

Today, we’re excited to announce the Degrees+ Workforce Transfer Network, empowering millions of students to gain real-world experience with an inclusive pathway towards achieving their educational goals. 🎓

Beginning this fall, alumni from AmeriCorps, Genesys Works, Merit America, SkillUp Online, and Thinkful by Chegg can receive up to a whole semester of guaranteed transfer credit toward an associate degree from Golden Gate University.
