Happy Pride Month! STMA is proud to announce our next special exhibition Queer Perspectives will open August 10, 2024.

Come on in this summer and check out the amazing art from our local students...created in response to school field trips to experience the current exhibition "Peace in Our Time: Steffen Thomas Meisterwerke from the Lowrance Collection".

Thank you to the Halle Foundation ( Nathan Howrey ). As the Chair of the Atlanta Sister Cities Commission , a Steffen Thomas Museum of Art Board Member, a German citizen, and a US citizen, I am very excited that Jesse Freeman's documentary "Steffen Thomas - Rock & Chisel" is such a big hit. It depicts not only great art, but also tells and incredible German - US story. More screenings will come soon!

In recognition of the vital importance of increased visibility and diverse representation of LGBTQ+ communities and issues, particularly in our rural areas, STMA is honored to present Queer Perspectives, a juried exhibition in Fall, 2024. The Call for Art opens April 13 and closes May 13. Open to all Georgia-based, LGBTQ+ identifying artists of all visual media, both emerging and professional.
