The Green Web Foundation is a grassroots organization that aims to accelerate the transition of the internet sector to the use of sustainable energy worldwide. They develop browser tools to provide insight into the energy sources used by internet providers and offer partnerships to truly green companies. The organization is managed from Sweden but collaborates with small teams globally.

The Green Web Foundation (TGWF) is an active not-for-profit organisation striving to deliver a meaningful contribution towards creating a more sustainable, environmentally-friendly internet that runs on renewable energy. 

Our objective:  by 2020 at least 80% of the Internet should run on renewable sources of energy.

Do you want to work on climate justice and digital rights as a Green Web Fellow? Our call for applications for the 2023 cohort is now open ⚡

We are seeking five practitioners who take action towards more just and sustainable futures for a paid part-time fellowship of 10 months for our 2023 cohort. 

Successful fellows will deliver a project that contributes to the digital rights and climate justice movements; they will also learn together – and from experienced practitioners– about what powers control the internet, how it is fueled, and what we can do about it.
