The arrival of 2024 brings a new of hope for the renewable energy industry. The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) reported that 83% of new energy added to the world's grid in 2023 was produced from clean, renewable sources, marking a significant feat for the sector.

Another Third Derivative accelerator company is wrapping up 2023 with some impressive announcements to celebrate! Two weeks ago First Gigaton Captured Cohort member Capture6 was named the winner of the World Water Challenge for their ability to recover over 50% of freshwater from desalination waste brine for drinking and industrial purposes, while capturing CO2.
This week Capture6 was selected for a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) award to advance their technology!
