At Virtua, we put inclusion and diversity at the heart of what we do. And we make it a priority to create safe spaces for our colleagues to openly share, listen, and learn from one another.

And that mission was fully displayed during our "Exploring Culture and Career Paths" event last month. Organized by members of our VirtuAsia Colleague Community, this event featured a panel discussion where Virtua leaders shared their personal journeys and navigated the complexities of career development and cultural identity.

Can we take a moment to gush over Eric Howard, our maintenance mechanic at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital?  

For starters, Eric is the definition of dedication. He’s the first to help a fellow colleague, pick up a shift, and come in whenever needed. 

But we’re barely scratching the surface. Eric played a huge part in getting our food pantry up and running, and even assists in delivering food once it arrives. He helps organize our annual picnics and makes sure these functions run smoothly. And he greets each patient and family member he encounters with a warm smile. 

It’s these reasons, and many more, that we’re proud to present Eric with the “Caring with Accountability” WE Award. Congrats Eric!!
