#ClimateChange is a threat to children's rights. It drives extreme poverty, inequality and child vulnerability. Due to their unique metabolism and development, children are especially vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. Girls and boys face greater risk than adults of vector borne diseases, under-nutrition, diarrheal diseases and heat stress. That's why we call for #BoldClimateAction to end the injustice of climate change. #COP29

Meet World Vision's delegation at the World Urban Forum 12 Egypt this week, addressing the rights and needs of children and youth in both fragile and stable urban settings. The team included Hella , a climate youth advocate from Iraq, who shared insights on fostering child and youth-inclusive, just, safe and resilient cities. "The effects of climate change and urbanisation in Iraq are serious. Our people are suffering and our environment is in trouble. It's time for action now," she says.
