EPS Singapore awarded highest tier Eco Office award!

We are thrilled to announce that our Singapore office has achieved the highest tier (4-Leaves) of Eco Office Certification awarded by the Singapore Environment Council (SEC). This award certifies offices that implement effective environmentally friendly practices and inculcate eco-conscious awareness among staff.

The audit assessment was no easy feat, and this certification certainly highlights our commitment to drive sustainability and responsible business practices from within for a greener future.

EPS dominates the Trifactor Race

EPS Quantum Racers emerged top 2 at last weekend's Trifactor Race! Amazing effort by both EPS Team 1 and 2 for a superb run-bike-run relay. The speed at which our teams were going were unmatched with Team 1 completing the course in 03:05:51, emerging as Champions in the long relay category and beating the Club Challenge category by 7 minutes! Team 2 was hot on their heels, finishing the course in 2nd place with an impressive timing of 03:21:03!

Shoutout to all our racers for their efforts and showcasing the determination, teamwork and spirit that defines our company culture. Here’s to more milestones ahead!

Mount Ossa, the last vessel in our series of six 210,000 dwt DF LNG Newcastlemaxes chartered to Rio Tinto, has been successfully delivered today with Laure Baratgin, Head of Commercial Operations, being the godmother of our good lady. This delivery also marks the 21st vessel being delivered by New Times Shipbuilding to EPS. 

Despite global challenges, Rio Tinto and EPS have shown unparalleled resilience and a strong commitment to decarbonize shipping. Over the past three years, these LNG-powered vessels have proven to be a sustainable choice, emitting 30% less than their conventional counterparts. We have successfully completed over 200 LNG bunkering operations, significantly reducing emissions across our fleet.

We celebrate our strong partnership with New Times Shipbuilding on this 21st milestone delivery to the EPS fleet, grateful to have 43 world-class vessels built and delivered, including those on order from New Times, which means we are only halfway through our esteemed collaboration.

Special thanks to Rio Tinto and New Times Shipbuilding for the valuable partnership, trust and belief in our shared vision. Not forgetting our teams across sea and shore who were integral in her successful delivery!

EPS signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with MAN Energy Solutions on ammonia training development at Posidonia this week! With this MoU, EPS will be trained alongside MAN Energy Solutions’ engineers on the safe handling of ammonia for its dual-fuel engines, to develop training material and strengthen capability building on the transportation of alternative fuels like ammonia over time. 

Cyril Ducau, CEO of EPS, said: “This MoU not only underscores the significance of our partnership with MAN Energy Solutions as we pioneer the industry’s green transformation, it also complements our recent commitment to collaborate with stakeholders like the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, to create the right environment for the safe transportation of alternative fuels like ammonia. It will enable us to address challenges more holistically to develop tailored training that will enhance crew safety and strengthen environmental aspects as we decarbonise the global shipping industry safely.”
