Since its formation in 2016, the RMIT Activator (led by Stephen Grocott and Tom Bentley) has been at the heart of #entrepreneurship efforts for students and alumni at RMIT University, which has a substantial presence in Europe (as part of the bustling 22@Network Barcelona), Vietnam (the first fully-owned University in the country!) and Singapore (with its partner Singapore Institute of Management, which has been operating since 1987!). Since the 1970s, ESACT - European Society for Animal Cell Technology has been the forum for leading academics and industry professionals to come together to promote knowledge and exchange ideas and #BestPractices on the use of animal cells for the greater good (eg #biomanufacturing, #bioprocessing, and to reduce/replace animals in research).
