🚀 Here are our key findings from the #LogisticsforEurope Conference organised by CLECAT and the European Shippers' Council 🇪🇺

This event brought together policymakers, including European Commission officials and industry representatives, including our CEO and Co-Founder, David de Picciotto, to discuss "Sustainability reporting requirements: Risks and limits for businesses". 📑

👇 Here are some of the key findings from the conference:

⚠️ Further support needed to help forwarders and shippers understand upcoming EU regulations: 🚛⚓️

- Companies lack awareness and education about current and impending regulations as well as how they will affect their business.
- There are also open questions surrounding mandatory CO2 reporting requirements under CSRD and CBAM.

🤝 Greater coherence and interoperability between various EU sustainability initiatives. 🤝

- Panellists emphasised the need for improved coherence among sustainability initiatives and emissions reporting.
- Companies are advocating for streamlined requirements across regulations applicable to their business in order to avoid double reporting and data overload.

💡 Businesses eagerly await the development of improved ESRS reporting standards. 💡

- These standards are expected to provide clearer guidelines for identifying and disclosing material ESG information.

🗣️ Businesses need to proactively engage with stakeholders, both in the private and the public sector, and leverage sustainability to improve competitiveness.🗣️
 
- Businesses can position themselves as leaders in the industry and help shape future policy initiatives by demonstrating their commitment to environmental responsibility. 🌱
- By effectively tracking and measuring their emissions, forwarders and shippers gather key supply chain insights while implementing targeted strategies to reduce their environmental footprint. 🌿
