It also offers Cathejell, a product indicated for surface anesthesia and lubrication during various procedures, including cystoscopy, catheterization, endourethral operation, endoscopy, proctoscopy, rectoscopy, and tracheal intubation, as well as used for the symptomatic treatment of pain in connection with cystitis and urethritis; RepaGyn, a vaginal suppository for the healing of the vaginal mucosa, as well as for the treatment of vaginal dryness caused by menopause, stress, and chemotherapy; and Proktis-M, a rectal suppository for the healing of the anus and rectum. In addition, it provides Combogesic for moderate acute pain and reduction of fever in adults; Protect-It, a non-chemical food-safe grain insecticide product used as a preventative treatment against insect infestations in stored grains; and Tibella, a hormone replacement therapy to treat vasomotor symptoms due to estrogen deficiency. The company sells its products through wholesalers and retail pharmacy chains. The company was formerly known as Hedley Technologies Inc. and changed its name to BioSyent Inc. in June 2006 to reflect its forward focus on the pharmaceutical market. BioSyent Inc. was incorporated in 2006 and is headquartered in Mississauga, Canada.
