We were delighted to welcome sociologist Jason Arday to the Crick today, who spoke with our equality, diversity and inclusion manager Vanessa Sauls about the importance of humility, authenticity and outreach in changing the face of academia.

We’ve published our first update on our path to zero net carbon by 2040 🌍 Last summer, we published our first sustainability strategy, laying out our plan for getting to zero net carbon. A team of researchers has found that immune cells are held back from fighting lung tumours by another type of cell in the surrounding cellular neighbourhood. The research could lay the groundwork for helping to reduce resistance to a group of cancer drugs called KRAS inhibitors.
