Pill Regatta is an annual event that is rich in history and offers a safe and educational experience for children and families to enjoy being on the water. We are very honoured to share a photo of the plaque from the new Trinity 500 boat that we helped purchase through previous charity events. The boat has been named 'The Port Boys' in memory of our late friend and former colleague, Mark Rice, fondly known as 'Pumper.' It’s an emotional tribute that means so much to the company. This year, our staff will be participating in the Race 4 Sharps Challenge, an invitational race for families and friends connected to the named boats. We wish everyone a successful experience as they participate in the event.

On Saturday, Bristol Port funded 20 colleagues to participate in the 2024 Tough Mudder event at Badminton Estate. Our team was well-represented with participants from Operations, Marine, Motorshop, Police, Gearstore, and Warehouse.

The Tough Mudder event is a challenging obstacle course race designed to test participants' physical and mental endurance. Unlike traditional races, Tough Mudder emphasises #teamwork, fostering strong bonds, and pushing personal limits rather than focusing on competition. The course features a series of intense obstacles that require strength, agility, and resilience to overcome.

Well done to the Bristol Port team for completing the Tough Mudder race! Their determination and perseverance were incredible, but what truly stood out was the way they strengthened their teamwork throughout the challenge. From start to finish, they supported each other every step of the way—proving that when we work together, we can overcome any obstacle. 👏 🏅

The Leviathan Engineering Group were delighted to attend a presentation and site tour today at The Bristol Port Company as part of the wider UK Ports association. 

Group CEO Glenn Karlsson caught up with new and familiar faces including Chris Adams CEng FICE, John Chaplin, David A J Brown OBE,  James Jackson,  Jacob Bourke-Trotham where we discussed the exciting future growth plans of the port relating to sustainable energy and ecosystems.

The Port is a member of the Port Skills and Safety group and the Port has it's own dedicated Health & Safety Department, reporting to the CEO who reviews all safety issues and works with the Union, Directors and employees to prevent incidents by learning from their own reported incidents, and those shared from other ports or similar areas of the business and industry.

The Port recognises Unite the Union and employs a number of Union appointed Health and Safety Representatives and Employee Representatives, across all Departments. The Port holds frequent meetings with Union appointed Health and Safety and Employee representatives, giving them opportunities to raise concerns for their members.
