He describes Supply Chain as the “centre of the universe,” a key connector across departments that keeps everything moving smoothly. Chris is quick to credit his team’s flexibility and dedication, always ready to tackle tasks of any size. Leading and rebuilding his team has been a significant accomplishment for Chris. He’s welcomed a new planner, joined the company’s Senior Leadership Team, and embraced the fast-paced learning curve with enthusiasm, especially following our recent acquisition. “It’s a great environment to learn, and I am currently doing so at a fast pace,” he shares. At Clearly Drinks, our commitment to a sustainable future is stronger than ever. 🌍 This #RecyclingWeek , we’re showcasing our packaging design philosophy, which focuses on using materials that can be efficiently separated and recycled at the end of their lifecycle. By reducing waste and shrinking our environmental footprint, we’re playing our part in promoting a circular economy and minimising plastic waste. Here’s how we’re making a difference: - All our bottles and cans are made with 100% recyclable materials, with all bottles being made from 30% RPET. - We prioritise recyclable materials and minimise plastic usage whenever feasible. - We have set goals in line with the latest legislation to adopt tethered caps and begin the process of increasing our recycled PET content to 50% by 2025. - We’re fully dedicated to on-site recycling. On a typical day, Lee collaborates across departments to ensure we meet supply and demand with the highest quality. 🌟 JULY EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT 🌟 Meet Norman Fletcher, who began his remarkable journey with Clearly Drinks, back when it was known as Villa Soft Drinks, in October 1982 where he started as a Filler Operator at the original Pallion site. Over the years, his dedication and expertise have seen him rise through the ranks, including a 21-year tenure as Supervisor and later as Senior Supervisor. Today, Norman serves as Technical Trainer & Buildings, Utilities, and Facilities Manager. His role includes training employees, optimising warehouse systems, and being the go-to problem solver for building issues. During his 42-year tenure, he has worked under approximately 20 production managers and witnessed three different ownerships. He takes immense pride in being someone people can depend on, and his extensive business knowledge is a testament to his dedication. Norman has seen countless innovations, from different plastics and bottles to new labels and machinery, and he readily shares this invaluable insight with his colleagues. One of Norm's key objectives is improving the efficiency of Line 3 and implementing the new warehouse management system, which integrates seamlessly with the supply chain. It’s a significant step forward in ensuring the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently. He is quick to mention the people as part of his favourite aspects to working here. He values the camaraderie and the relationships he’s built, including his long-standing friendship with colleague Paul Lawrence, whom he has known for over 50 years. His journey throughout the history of the company is a testament to his unwavering commitment, adaptability, and deep-rooted sense of responsibility.
