Our portfolio company The Vaccine Group has teamed up with the University of Plymouth and the University of Cambridge to develop a vaccine to combat a widespread, economically harmful and zoonotic pig disease, which can be fatal to humans. Streptococcus suis is a bacterial infection which is endemic in the global pig population. It can cause meningitis and sceptacaemia in humans.
