#NGPNews | UK Regulator Approves Five New Subsea Power Links In a major step toward energy independence, the UK’s energy regulator, Ofgem, has approved five new subsea power projects to tap into the North Sea’s vast wind resources and supply power directly to British and European grids. Among the projects are the LionLink, connecting the UK and Dutch wind farms, and the Nautilus, which will link to Belgium. Together, these initiatives could help Britain become a net energy exporter by 2030.
