We're very proud to announce the launch of 'Ready Made' our new hazy pale in collaboration with Tate , celebrating their 'Mike Kelley: Ghost and Spirit' exhibition, running until 9th March 2025. The exhibition features the provocative and imaginative worlds created by Kelley, and explores identity, memory, and popular culture. Our second Tate collab follows the runaway success of 2023's 'Riot Grrrl', inspired by the trailblazing women and art at the forefront of the feminist punk movement of the 70s and 80s to coincide with Tate's 'Women in Revolt: Art and Activism in the UK 1970-1990'. It is an absolute honour to be asked back for an encore, and with Mike Kelley's breath-taking work as the centrepiece, we couldn't ask for a more exciting and fitting time for Signature Brew to be invited back to the Tate. 'Mike Kelley: Ghost and Spirit' spans his whole spellbinding career, including his work with Sonic Youth to imagine the iconic art of their album 'Dirty'. Kelley, a musician himself, famously worked alongside many musicians and artists throughout his life, and his attitude towards collaboration is one that resonates deeply with who we are here at Signature Brew. It is a true privilege to pay tribute in a small way to his legacy with 'Ready Made'. Another thing synonymous with Signature Brew is unforgettable experiences, and for the launch of this unique, extra-hoppy brew we will be making no exception. We'll be throwing a launch party as only we know how. Join us this Halloween at Tate Modern for an after-hours viewing of this landmark exhibition, followed by an afterparty at the Corner featuring the first pour of 'Ready Made' alongside a tap-takeover with the full range of our award-winning beers. We've also pulled out the stops and got none-other than Tim Burgess of the Charlatans on the decks performing a live DJ set with a selection of music inspired by Kelley's world. When developing this collab concept, it was obvious that lager was the perfect beer style to run with, one that epitomised Hak's no nonsense approach and with 'Reef House' it feels like we've captured something truly special. Two great Taste stars is an absolute honour, so huge thanks to the team! Our brewing team work tirelessly to ensure all of our recipes are the absolute gold standard with every brew. They smash it day in, day out and this award is even more proof that the only thing greater than our taste in music is the taste of our beer! ~What the judges had to say: "Great first impression in the glass with a nice haziness and good foam. The fruitiness continues on the palate, with a flavour that ends with a malty finish. The journey is smooth and satisfying. A good representation of a session pale ale with great freshness and huge drinkability." "Pale and hazy in the glass, with citrus notes on both the nose and palate. Crisp initially, then biscuity and malty, finishing with fruit and an apt bitterness. Nicely refreshing." "This is a very refreshing pale ale. The combination of hops, fruit flavours and thirst-quenching acidity makes for a fabulous session beer. The judges are already imagining this at their next BBQ."
