Itua Moses and Wyn Mowatt, door security at the Two Brewers in Clapham, have received the National Pubwatch Star Award this week, for their heroic actions during a homophobic attack in 2023. After the horrific attack took place outside the venue, Moses and Mowatt acted quickly to move guests inside to safety and provided vital first aid to the victims. Jimmy Smith, General Manager at the Two Brewers said: “Their quick thinking and bravery will have helped potentially save lives and prevent further injuries, and I can’t thank the two men enough for what they did. Lindsey Wakeman, General Manager at The Registry, Walsall received an award for bravery and meritorious conduct at the annual National Pubwatch dinner, held at the UK House of Lords this week. Lindsey, who has managed The Registry for over 13 years, also received the Chief Constables Good Citizen Award for her quick-thinking actions to protect a vulnerable customer and help in apprehending a potential offender in 2023. She shared: “I feel very humbled to be nominated for this award, especially as I feel extremely passionate about the safety of everyone in our Walsall community.
