The UCL Technology Fund is a £50 million investment fund focused on commercializing intellectual property generated from UCL's world-class research base. It provides capital to spin-outs and start-up companies developing technologies in life and physical sciences, as well as in technology areas such as artificial intelligence and machine learning.

The UCL Technology Fund is dedicated to investing in intellectual property commercialisation opportunities arising from UCL’s world-class research base, focusing in particular on the physical and life sciences.

The Fund supports UCL in achieving the full potential of innovations that have prospects for outstanding societal and market impact, right through the development journey from initial proof of concept to practical commercial application.

Congratulations to UCLTF portfolio company Echopoint Medical Ltd on it's £4.2 million Series A funding. 

The investment will support the company’s flagship iKOr system through the FDA approval process, setting the stage for its market debut in the United States.

We're delighted to continue our support for the UCL spinout, which is a leader in the development of advanced diagnostic solutions for cardiovascular care.

UCLTF portfolio company Apollo Therapeutics has revealed that during December 2023 it completed a second close of its Series C financing, raising an additional $33.5m: bringing the total raised in this round by the company during 2023 to $260m.

The Series C financing was led by Patient Square Capital and included participation by multiple new investors including M&G plc and two of the largest US public pension plans, along with existing investors including Rock Springs Capital.
