Mitch Lasky is a partner at Benchmark, one of Silicon Valley's top venture firms, and a co-owner of Major League Soccer Club LAFC. At Benchmark, he made early investments in many games and mobile application companies, including Riot Games (League of Legends), Snapchat, and Discord. Before joining Benchmark, Mitch worked at the Walt Disney Company, ran Activision's studios, founded the first mobile game startup to go public in the U.S. and led mobile and online gaming at Electronic Arts. He has a podcast on the modern history of the video game business called GameCraft.

Nikki Sims produced an impactful content & experience rich day with our partners Dan McGill and Mark Romney at Blue Rise Ventures - convening a community of founders building companies addressing the future of food, health & medicine for our first Bay Area Roadshow.  It was wonderful to extend our Backyard and meet so many new colleagues!!

Growth Factory portco founders, Ruby Gadelrab Tudor Joe Schroeter Daniel Kurzrock Zane Starkewolfe dispensed some really useful knowledge and experience from the stage alongside JP Morgan's Barbara Silva, Neil Littman and Mark Romney.  

And, it was a very special treat to have Tony Lam in the house for a fireside chat with Rick Spencer about how he helps founders rapidly test and validate their food & beverage products.

The sustainable food tasting that followed was a definite highlight --  featuring a sustainable burger collaboration between Optimized Foods Upcycled Foods, Inc. (UP, Inc.) Terviva that disappeared quickly!!
