𝟏. 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 - There are many different frameworks for business strategy, but most are designed for large, complex organizations and therefore tend to be too complicated for startups. We’ve come up with a simple strategy framework designed specifically for startups.

𝟐. 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡-𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐤 - While it might be tempting to reinvent the wheel with alternative formats, it rarely sets you apart positively. Investors have a certain expectation for what they want to learn from a deck, and the more you fulfill these needs, the smoother the process is going to be. 

𝟑. 𝐁𝐮𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐬 - A well thought out budget has a multitude of benefits: first and foremost, it can serve as your company's commercial roadmap. It is also one of the most crucial and simplest instruments of strategic alignment for all decision-makers and stakeholders of your company.  

4. 𝐄𝐒𝐆 𝐊𝐏𝐈𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐤 - We recommend that start-ups start tracking non-financial KPIs from the very beginning. We offer some examples of KPIs we find particularly helpful. For s startup’s internal use, it makes the most sense to focus on 3-5 KPIs in the beginning.
