Welcome Virtuleap

A GED Ventures Portugal investiu cerca de 2,5 milhões de euros na Virtuleap, uma startup #HealthTech e #EdTech, que desenvolveu uma biblioteca de jogos de realidade virtual para avaliar e treinar uma série de habilidades cognitivas, incluindo a memória. Com estes dados, que ficam disponíveis numa plataforma, é possível fornecer resultados clínicos fundamentais para a triagem e perfil da saúde do cérebro. 

Estes jogos, curtos, intensos e divertidos, foram desenvolvidos por neurocientistas e projetados como traduções de ferramentas de avaliação neuropsicológica. Posteriormente, os dados recolhidos são analisados por ferramentas de aprendizagem de Inteligência Artificial #AI. A “Enhance VR”, desenvolvida pela Virtuleap, pretende tornar-se num “ginásio para a mente” acessível a todos e servir, no futuro, como uma terapêutica para colmatar desafios de aprendizagem como Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção com Hiperatividade e outros distúrbios cognitivos. 

A GED Ventures Portugal lidera esta ronda de investimento e reforça o compromisso com o #Tech4Purpose. “Esta aposta na Virtuleap reflete a estratégia adotada de investir em tecnologia com impacto direto na saúde mental das pessoas proporcionando uma melhor qualidade de vida. Neste encontro entre a tecnologia e o bem-estar, estamos a construir um novo futuro na saúde mental acessível a todos”, explica Bibi Sattar Marques.

GED Ventures Portugal invested approximately €2.5 million in Virtuleap, a start-up focusing on #HealthTech and #EdTech. Virtuleap has developed a collection of virtual reality games that can be used to evaluate and improve various cognitive abilities, such as memory, attention, motor control skills and spatial orientation. The company can provide essential clinical findings for brain health screening and profiling by collecting data on a single platform. 

Neuroscientists have developed these short, intense, and fun games, and they serve as translations of neuropsychological assessment tools, which are then analyzed using artificial intelligence #AI learning tools. The "Enhance VR" program, developed by Virtuleap, aims to provide a "gym for the mind" accessible to everyone, and potentially serve in the future as a therapeutic for learning challenges like ADHD and other cognitive disorders. GED Ventures Portugal led this investment round, reinforcing its commitment to #Tech4Purpose. Excited to share the news of the sale of PROCUBITOS EUROPE SL! 💼

GED Capital and GRUPO EMPRESARIAL HERVAZ SL have reached an agreement to sell PROCUBITOS EUROPE SL, the European leader in the production and distribution of ice, operating under the renowned brand Cubers - Hielo Premium, to Magnum Capital Industrial Partners.

🌍 PROCUBITOS EUROPE SL has factories in #spain, #germany, and #italy and exports to more than 14 countries. Since GED Capital initiated this exciting project in 2017, we have executed a successful buy&build plan with seven strategic acquisitions. This has allowed the company to multiply its sales and become the European benchmark for Premium Ice, with a production exceeding 750,000 tons, more than doubling its nearest competitor.

🚀 This deal marks a significant milestone and is the third divestment of the #GEDVEspaña Fund. We want to express our gratitude to all those involved who have contributed to the success of PROCUBITOS EUROPE SL.
