Excited to announce our #investment in the pre-seed round of Averywell 🚀 , which helps diagnose early lung #cancer in asymptomatic patients with a simple blood test 🩸. Lung cancer ranks as the third most prevalent cancer globally, claiming the top spot in cancer-related fatalities ☠ . #MicroRNA #technology is making its way into commercialisation and while some startups use microRNA for various cancers, none have so far shown the impressive accuracy of Averywell in reducing false positives for lung cancer. The data has been tested in a small but significant number of patients and will be validated in a larger cohort with this round of #funding by Genesis Ventures and several strategic angel investors. Cherry NY CHIA, a formidable technical founder whom I had worked with in my old days in #Singapore, is the right person to take this forward.
