💰Fundraising Challenges in Gaming 🎮

In our latest newsletter, we delve into the challenges of raising capital for gaming companies as we near the end of July 2024. Despite $14B invested in 2021-2022, only $2.7B was invested in 2023. VCs are prioritizing AI, many are between funds, and high interest rates are driving down valuations.

Looking ahead, we predict slow gaming investments through early 2025, with AI investment cooling by then. Marginal interest rate cuts might improve the climate, and we expect growth equity checks to rise in 2025.
