This is not only great news for our portfolio company but also great news for the country and the world as the pilot aims to help reduce the environmental impact of garment production, offer a more sustainable process for meeting apparel demand, and shift more textile manufacturing back to the U.S.

Our 2023 Vintage company Cartwheel is officially out of stealth and ready to start changing the future of animated storytelling!

Cartwheel is developing proprietary foundational AI models to create movie-quality animations with granular controls over the animation itself — i.e., are editable.

With Cartwheel, users can generate editable animations using a large motion model. Its intuitive UI empowers creative storytellers in video games, film animation, and creative agencies by streamlining the animation process for 100x output.

Cartwheel is co-founded by a multi-time founder and a highly technical generative AI researcher. CEO Jonathan Jarvis was the founder of a leading animation studio (Universal Patterns), ex co-founder and CEO of a venture-backed AI startup (Token.ai), and a Director at Google leading their brand identity and logo system teams. CTO Andrew Carr was Senior Research Scientist at Gretel.ai, Member Of Technical Staff at OpenAI, and Researcher at Google Brain.
