KG, evoreal GmbH, JLL Spark, Liechtenstein Group, OTTO WULFF, Scout24 Group and Supernova Invest GmbH. Great to be part of this year's GREENTECH FESTIVAL for the panel Greentech meets Construction & Real Estate - in collaboration with great host Martin Pietzonka from Drees & Sommer and further panelists Franziska Albrecht from Madaster and Hanna Huber, also representing Drees & Sommer. 

We are still at the beginning of a historic green transformation of the Built World and Europe's momentum is unprecedented. 

In summary:

\ PT1 Associate Partner Konstantinos Matsoukas spoke at the prestigious 80 Sekunden conference last week in Berlin

The 80 Sekunden - Neues Bauen (referring to the fact that every 80 seconds a new home needs to be completed in order to meet Germany's #construction goals) gathered key decision-makers from planning and construction, research, and politics, offering a 360° perspective on new construction methods in Berlin. The conference focused on pivotal topics like smart cities, cradle-to-cradle design, sustainable architecture, urban and spatial planning, land and space potential, approval processes, decentralised #energy production and water/energy/internet #infrastructure.

In his keynote, Konstantinos discussed market data indicating an impending return to normalcy amidst ongoing inflation. However, a much more pressing hazard does not simply vanish: the #climate crisis. He proposed that the next wave of unicorns will emerge at the intersection of the built world and #ClimateTech. With the EU representing both the largest early-stage ClimateTech funding pool as well as geographic area with excellent exit opportunities, there’s no better place to build a #startup than in the EU.
