This $150M round was led by Fiserv , with participation from Accel , Bessemer Venture Partners , Capital One , Coatue and General Catalyst , among others. Melio is our trusted partner for Shopify Bill Pay. This round marks a significant milestone in their mission to revolutionize B2B payments. With our initial investment thesis coming to life, Shopify has integrated Melio’s accounts payable solution, enabling merchants to manage and pay bills directly from their Shopify admin. Melio’s continued success is also a testament to the power of our collaboration and shared mission to simplify financial operations for businesses everywhere. Lightdash stands out from traditional BI companies by building tooling that can 10x data and business teams. Congratulations to AI Tinkerers on another successful meetup. Last Friday, the Shopify Toronto office welcomed 200 passionate AI/ML builders for demos and discussions on topics like LLM classification accuracy, curation assistants, open-sourced model training, DIY chip fabrication kits, and more. Two key insights shared: 1️⃣ Optimizing LLM intent classification prompts involves experimenting with various classification models and strategies, such as adding prefixes, suffixes, and incorporating None_intent into descriptions. For bigger improvements, focus on crafting better training examples, using few-shot learning, and addressing edge cases to enhance LLM performance. 2️⃣ Training LLMs with custom data can significantly enhance semantic search capabilities. Integrating knowledge graphs into these models deepens content understanding and can lead to more precise results.
