When we get injured, our bodies engage in a series of complex processes to naturally stop bleeding, called hemostasis. 🚨🧠 New Neuroscience News: 06/09 A quiet week for neuroscience but still some important developments: EnClear Therapies have gained additional funding from new partners Brain Tumor Investment Fund , a subsidiary of National Brain Tumor Society and Sontag Innovation Fund Fund along with continued support from existing investors such as Amgen Ventures, Founders Fund , Thiel Bio Fund, Tachyon Ventures and Bioverge Funds LLC ECHO I . This financing means EnClear will expedite the development of their groundbreaking technology within Neuro-Oncology, they will also be able to bolster pre-clinical programs aimed at transforming the treatment landscape of CNS diseases AcuraStem announced $4M in grant funding from the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM) . The funding will be used to advance the development of their UNC13A program by utilising their tech platform iNeuroRx® with the target of combating neurodegenerative diseases but specifically ALS & FDT Adaptin Bio, Inc. have gained FDA clearance off the back of their IND application for APTN-101. APTN-101 is a program which targets glioblastoma (GBM), the most common and aggressive primary brain tumour. The clearance allows Adaptin to initiate a first-in-human Phase I clinical trial NRG Therapeutics have been awarded a non-dilutive grant from TARGET ALS FOUNDATION, INC in collaboration with Biospective Inc. NRG will use the funding to support their discovery programme for a treatment for ALS/MND Neuronetics, Inc. have highlighted their progress of their NeuroStar towards the goal of saving thousands of lives through their Advanced Therapy for depression. Currently the platform has potentially saved 1,771 lives having treated 88,533 lives patients with the aim of saving 3,325 lives #neuroscience #sjneuro

Discover groundbreaking research published in Nature Medicine revealing that mutations in a small non-coding gene called RNU4-2 causes a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects tens of thousands of people worldwide. The discovery is significant, as it represents one of the most common single-gene genetic causes of such disorders, ranking second only to Rett syndrome. Notably, these mutations are typically spontaneous and not inherited, providing important insights into the nature of the condition.
