Founders are the life-blood of every company, particularly in the early stages. For us, Abhik, Anushka and Varun had a founder-market fit like no other, when they started out building Trampoline.

Abhik Ghosh, co-founder & CEO, had 8+ years of experience across Amazon and Wayfair in the hardlines and home decor category in the UK and EU markets. In his most recent role at Wayfair, he was a Commercial Director / GM in the EU business owning the home decor, textiles & rugs, and outdoor P&Ls. He felt the gnawing whitespaces on the supply side tug at his heart, and decided to take on the challenges himself.

In his own words, “Most of the magic happens at the factory shop floor and the point-of-sale. But the industry and value chain has remained archaic. Trampoline’s tech play aims to provide independent retailers the data and personalisation to efficiently curate for their stores, while equally deploying tech enabled QC/QA and supply chain solutions for our manufacturer partners”. 

He teamed with Anushka Mahanti, co-founder & CCO at Trampoline. Anushka has 8+ years of experience across strategy and marketing across Amazon UK, where she worked as the head of brand and marketing at Freevee. She also worked at Arla Foods (a $12B Danish FMCG major), where she was the category and marketing lead and headed product launches globally.

She feels that “Combining India’s endemic raw materials and craftsmanship, with a global design language, we’re making data driven decisions on catalogue breadth, depth and forecasting, enabling Trampoline to cater to global businesses at scale. Design speaks volumes, pun intended, and we already see this play out with sophisticated global retailers.” 

The team is well-rounded with co-founder and COO Varun Deo, who bolsters the sourcing and supply chain side of the business. He has 7+ years of experience across roles at Wayfair (where he was the head of the UK Decor business), and Amazon, where he worked on the launch of Amazon's specialty retail stores in the UK. Prior to that, he has also worked on overseeing sales teams on a pan India level as a part of Bharat Serums & Vaccines. 

He is obsessed with delivering the best product quality while reducing lead times for customers. "Owning quality control end-to-end, with robust factory audits and inspections ensures there are no compromises on standards. Our efficient consolidation at source enables higher flexibility and lower MOQs for customers, while our warehousing in India and the UK allow us to manage and replenish stock with agility.”

The round also saw participation from Alteria Capital with an additional $2 Million in venture debt.
