The company operates through four segments: Commercial Airplanes; Defense, Space & Security; Global Services; and Boeing Capital. The Commercial Airplanes segment provides commercial jet aircraft for passenger and cargo requirements, as well as fleet support services. The Defense, Space & Security segment engages in the research, development, production, and modification of manned and unmanned military aircraft and weapons systems; strategic defense and intelligence systems, which include strategic missile and defense systems, command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, cyber and information solutions, and intelligence systems; and satellite systems, such as government and commercial satellites, and space exploration. The Boeing Capital segment offers financing services and manages financing exposure for a portfolio of equipment under operating leases, sales-type/finance leases, notes and other receivables, assets held for sale or re-lease, and investments. The company was incorporated in 1916 and is based in Chicago, Illinois.

Four years ago, as part of his National Service, Nick Pervak boarded a Republic of Singapore Air Force #Chinook helicopter as he prepared for his heli-insertion exercise with the Singapore Army’s Commandos.

Today, the Ukrainian-born Singaporean is an intern with Boeing Defense, Space & Security in Singapore, where he examines key drivers of the evolving market dynamics in the Southeast Asia defense market.

Starliner-1 "Astro Kutryk" reporting for duty! 

Our team is thrilled to share the assignment of Canadian Space Agency Astronaut Joshua Kutryk to #Starliner's first post-certification flight. Josh will join pilot Mike Fincke and Commander Scott Tingle as a mission specialist.

Josh was selected by CSA through the fourth Canadian Astronaut recruitment campaign. He joined the NASA astronaut corps in 2020.

Before joining CSA, Josh flew Boeing-built CF-18s as an experimental test pilot and fighter pilot in the Royal Canadian Air Force. He was also named the U.S. Air Force's top test pilot graduate in 2012.

Josh is from Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada and was raised on a cattle farm. He has 4,000 hours of test pilot flying experience on more than 25 aircraft.

Ahead of #Starliner-1, Josh is training to be the Ascent and Entry CAPCOM for CFT astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams. CAPCOM is the communication liaison between the crew and Mission Control at NASA Johnson Space Center.
