🎙️ Tara Annison, Head of Product at Twinstake: "The lack of regulatory clarity acts as a barrier to entry for some institutions, but not all. DeFi is intricate and complex, making it crucial to educate traders and risk departments to facilitate institutional adoption."

🎙️ Lex Sokolin, Managing Partner at Generative Ventures: "DeFi removes the agency risk of traditional finance but introduces new software risks. Understanding novel risks like software and audits is essential. Trial and error might be necessary for individuals to grasp these complexities."

🎙️ Patrick McCorry, Researcher at The Arbitrum Foundation: "Bugs can pop up, but the human element is eliminated. DeFi can allow for a true measurement of risk."

Will Wang, Partner of Generative Ventures, emphasized the interest rates for overcollateralized loans within the #cryptocurrency market are relatively low, including #stablecoins with rates as low as two to three percent currently. This is an intriguing observation, as #traditional financial markets typically offer interest rates and borrowing costs of around five percent or even higher. This interest rate differential raises questions about the profitability of borrowing funds within the #crypto market to invest in higher-yield products elsewhere. He also mentions the importance of onboarding a variety of high-quality off-chain assets to make them available for use in the cryptocurrency space, as there is a need to diversify the available #assets.
