We build self-driving local delivery robots that are safe, reliable, clean and cost efficient. Starship was launched by Skype co-founders, Ahti Heinla and Janus Friis in 2014. Just a few years later, our robots are now doing thousands of deliveries a day in towns, cities and campuses across the world. 

Autonomous delivery is no longer a future concept. In total, Starship delivery robots have completed over 5 million autonomous deliveries - the first and only robot delivery company to do so!

Starship’s business headquarters are in San Francisco, the company also has engineering offices in Estonia & Helsinki and a UK presence including London and Milton Keynes.

In January 2019, GMU & Mason Dining led the way as the first US university to introduce Starship's autonomous robot delivery service, transforming the future of campus life for universities nationwide.

Today, we mark 5 incredible years with our fleet, now at 60 robots, completing nearly half a million deliveries and covering 474,225 miles – equivalent to circling the Earth 19 times!
