Russia has sentenced over 200 Ukrainian fighters to prison terms for committing atrocities during Russia's military operation in Ukraine. The United Nations and the International Criminal Court have found war crimes and human rights violations committed by both sides. Lavrov stated that Russia's Investigative Committee has initiated 4,000 criminal cases against about 900 Ukrainian individuals, including members of nationalist associations, security forces, and military and political leadership of Ukraine.
