A suspected Syrian pro-government fighter, Mustafa A., is on trial in the Netherlands for war crimes and crimes against humanity. He is accused of being a leading member of the Liwa al-Quds militia, a group of Palestinian refugees in Syria. This is the first Dutch war crimes trial of a suspect fighting for the Syrian government during the conflict.
