One of the best things about being a founder?

I’m constantly having fascinating conversations with interesting people.

My chat with Amy Volas   the OneShot.ai Podcast was a recent standout. 
Here are 3 things I’ve been reflecting on since:

#1 Markets move in cycles.

We all know this from business school (or the school of hard knocks).

But when you’re caught up in the day-to-day of running a business (or a sales cycle) it’s easy to lose sight of the forest for the trees.

Right now we're in a reconciliation period. It’s gonna suck for a while.

But through the dark, there’s always light.

#2 Sales needs to level up.

The order taking era is over. Lazy selling won’t cut it anymore.

“Us salespeople have done a lot of talking at, not talking with.” Couldn’t agree more, Amy.

The sellers who are invaluable to their buyers (and to their employers) are the ones who deeply understand their customer’s challenges and how to solve for them.

Not easy. But now with AI it’s more necessary than ever.

#3 AI is an enabler.

Not a replacement.

But it’s a double edged sword.

It will enable and enhance great work. It will also amplify noise.

In the not-so-distant future, there will be 10-person sales teams driving $100M in annual recurring revenue. 

There won’t be anything remarkable about these reps. 

Nothing that separates them from solid sellers by today’s standards. 

But there’s one factor that will make all the difference. 

They’ll be equipped with the greatest technology of our generation: AI. 

The AI-powered salespeople of tomorrow will generate 10x the output of their modern counterparts. 

Teams will be lean, decentralized, and empowered by technology. AI won’t replace sales people, AI will remove the manual work, pipelines will be bigger and each rep will have more quality conversations every week. 

Reps will be free to focus on high-value activities like preparing for buyer conversations, tailoring pitches and proposals, and deepening customer relationships. 

Junior sales reps will start as full-cycle sellers rather than meeting-booking drones. 

They’ll start off working tier 3 deals, working their way up to closing top-shelf customers. 

Or they’ll pivot into management and leadership. 

The tedious, repetitive busywork that has come to dominate sales as we know it today will be long gone.

I believe in this so strongly that here OneShot.ai we have full cycle AE’s, Jake Carter started in August, in September he will book over $100k in new revenue, he is also producing 10 new ICP meetings per week from cold. 

We have removed all his manual work.

Think about that an AE booking 40-50 meetings per month whilst also managing sales cycles and closing deals.

6 weeks into my role OneShot.ai - I have taken some time to reflect on my professional journey. 

I've always prided myself on my work ethic. 

However, historically was every effort I exerted genuinely moving the needle? Probably not.

I am now starting to learn the difference between busy work and value outcome based work. I've removed all busy work and focusing on results alone.

☎ Global Engagement: My day is filled with cold calls, starting with UK-based companies in the morning, and transitioning to US companies in the afternoon.

🔗 LinkedIn Engagement: Cultivating professional relationships is key. I make 25+ LinkedIn connections daily. This is usually done on my commute. 

⏰ Time Blocking: This method has been monumental, enabling focused and uninterrupted productivity, ensuring every second is attributed to value-driven activities.

🌟 Leadership & Guidance: Above all, the insights and mentorship from our CEO Gautam Rishi is reshaping my professional perspective. His leadership is not merely about direction but elevation, pushing boundaries, and setting new benchmarks.
