The concept of "real-world agent architecture" is about creating #AI systems that are context-aware entities embedded within workflows to actively support, enhance or complete tasks. The Qodo Merge architecture is designed to be practical, responsive, and seamlessly integrated into existing code management systems, to maximize productivity with minimal friction (which we keep improving on). In the case of Qodo Merge, the agent is applied to #codereview . Instead of a static tool, Qodo Merge acts as an adaptive agent—an intelligent assistant that understands the developer’s context, provides relevant insights, and minimizes cognitive load. It doesn’t just display information; it processes, interprets, and refines it to offer actionable support at each stage of the PR review. For example, the architecture breaks down specific tasks into specialized AI functions, from summarizing complex code changes to evaluating PRs. Each function is contextually aware, meaning it understands the requirements of the PR and the nuances of the code, offering insights that are relevant to that specific context rather than generic suggestions only (which sometimes actually catch meaningful issues!).
