#FACILEX 🔁 The functionalities of the Legal Database and the Advisory Module of the FACILEX platform were demonstrated and tested in practice to find resolutions to hypothetical cases during the Transnational Training for legal practitioners held in ⚜ Florence on 1-2 July. 👍 The Apis Europe team would like to thank the European University Institute - Centre for Judicial Cooperation for the invitation and the excellent organization of the event! 🌍 The FACILEX platform is publicly available here: https://facilex-tool.eu .

📰 On June 3, 2024, a practical workshop in a hybrid form was held in Sofia, organized by Apis Europe with the assistance of the National Institute of Justice on the topic: "Mutual recognition instruments in the criminal matter according to the EU and national regulations". The forum is part of the activities carried out by APIS within the #FACILEX project, which is implemented with the financial support of the European Union's Justice Programme. The coordinator of the project is the University of Bologna (Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna) , and the other partners are leading European academic institutions, including the European University Institute- Centre for Judicial Cooperation . 📢 Lecturers at the event were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Miroslava Manolova (Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski") and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ekaterina Salkova (Institute for the State and Law at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences). They discussed current issues related to the issuance and execution of the European Arrest Warrant and the European Investigation Order, as well as the mutual recognition of freezing and confiscation orders. 💻 During the workshop, the Bulgarian project team from APIS presented the demo version of the FACILEX information platform, which was developed to assist legal practitioners in the decision-making in the matter of judicial cooperation in criminal matters. 👨⚖️ Among the participants were Bulgarian judges, prosecutors and criminal lawyers who took part in the discussions and showed interest in using the FACILEX platform in the future. 👉 Learn more about the FACILEX project here: https://lnkd.in/du6RRTgy . 👉 Explore the FACILEX platform yourself here: https://facilex-tool.eu .
