BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! The UC Davis Cultivated Meat Consortium, in collaboration with UCLA , USDA , University of Maryland Baltimore County , Solano Community College , and The Culinary Institute of America , is launching the Integrative Center for Alternative Meat and Protein (iCAMP). The center of excellence aims to accelerate the commercialization of alternative protein and cultivated foods. We launch with our first Innovation Day and Partner's Retreat on January 17-18th, 2024, at the University of California, Davis Robert Mondavi Institute for Wine and Food Science. The event will feature leading researchers in plant, fermentation, and cell-based research, as well as food safety, consumer acceptance, and regulation and policy. Discussions will focus on supporting entrepreneurship and intellectual property emerging from academic institutions, and building critical regional bioprocessing and workforce capacity.
