The mechatronics specialist develops and manufactures systems for vehicle doors, liftgates and seats. Brose also produces electric motors from 200 watts to 14 kilowatts for various applications such as steering, thermal management or drives for e-bikes and e-scooters. The company employs around 32,000 people at 69 locations in 24 countries. In 2023, the Brose Group generated a turnover of around eight billion euros.

The Brose Group currently supplies mechatronic systems and electric drives to around 80 automotive brands, over 40 suppliers and 50 e-bike manufacturers.

#electric cars move almost silently on the road. The danger is that it takes a long time for an approaching vehicle to be detected #acoustically. That's why we have developed an acoustic warning system - AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) - that will go into series production in 2026. 💪

It took only a few months from the idea to the presentation of our concept to car manufacturers to the first working demonstrator. 🚀The start-up mentality of our employees made this success possible. Everyone worked closely together in a small team and pursued new technological approaches using innovative simulation tools. 

With an equally #innovative project setup, we now want to ensure that the order is implemented #quickly, #cost effectively and with the highest #quality standards by the time series production of several million electric and hybrid vehicles is scheduled to begin.

In South Africa, we produce window regulators, door systems and cooling fan modules for our business divisions #Exterior and #Drives. 🌍️🇿🇦

The joint venture RG Brose Automotive Components (Pty.) Ltd. was founded in South Africa in 1999. Three years later, Stefano Gulmini, the son of our recently passed partner, took over the management of the joint venture. 

The Gulmini and Stoschek families have worked closely together in South Africa since the company's inception.🤝Today, we employ approximately 350 people at two locations in Brits and East London. 

We also support #social projects in the communities around our sites. In 2015, for example, we provided a new climbing frame for the children at New Generation Primary School in East London.

Michael Stoschek takes over as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of our company.
 
Effective 08 July 2024, Dr. Rolf Breidenbach has resigned from his position as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. The Supervisory Board of Brose SE has unanimously elected Michael Stoschek, member of this Board and shareholder of the Brose Group, as the new Chairman until the end of the current term of office. 

The reason for the change was a difference of opinion on the strategic alignment of the company against the background of current market developments.

Maximilian Stoschek will remain Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Brose SE.

Yesterday, more than 30 CPOs and key decision makers joined us in Bamberg. At the beginning Sven Erber, Christian Ley, Olga Fendel and Eva Schmidt shared our best practice and presented the award-winning solution. 
 
This was followed by exciting presentations and discussions on how digitalization and generative AI can change the procurement process and which solutions are already in use today. SAP surprised us with a wonderful piano performance by Constance Pfeiffer. The event concluded with a tour of our Hallstadt plant.
