Cactus Venture Partners, an early growth-stage venture investment firm, has announced the final close of its first fund, securing a total corpus of about Rs 630 crore (approximately $75.9 million). Founded in January 2021, Cactus Venture Partners focuses on backing startups in climate tech, enterprise software, and health tech sectors.

With a vision to support innovation and drive growth, the fund plans to invest in about 15 companies in total. General partners Rajeev Kalambi and Amit Sharma are spearheading this initiative, leveraging their expertise and experience in the venture capital landscape.

Already making waves in the investment scene, Cactus Venture Partners has completed six investments to date, including Kapture, Vitraya, AMPM, Auric, Lohum, and Rubix, and even secured one exit.

The fund has received significant capital commitments, with 60% originating from domestic sources and the remaining from international limited partners, primarily from the US, Singapore, European Union, and the UK.

Backed by Indian development financial institutions such as SIDBI, Self-Reliant India Fund (SRI Fund), and the UP Startup Fund, Cactus Venture Partners is poised to drive innovation and fuel the growth of promising startups in India.

Looking ahead, Cactus Venture Partners aims to continue investing for the next three years, maintaining a balanced approach between follow-on investments and new funding deals.
