Snohomish County Nonprofit Expands Reach of Free Mental Health Services for Seniors

Cambia Health Foundation awarded a $150,000 grant to Homage Senior Services, a nonprofit serving older adults in Snohomish County, to expand its free mental health services. The grant enables Homage to offer mental health services at senior centers in seven locations, addressing the challenges older adults face in accessing mental health care.

The Cambia Health Foundation has awarded a $150,000 grant to Homage Senior Services, a nonprofit based in Lynnwood, to expand its free mental health services across Snohomish County. The grant will enable Homage to provide mental health services at senior centers in eight locations, benefiting vulnerable older adults who often face difficult struggles and transitions as they age.

At a special Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services roundtable yesterday, Cambia CIO Laurent Rotival shared how we are advancing #interoperability and simplifying the prior authorization process across the health care industry. Since launching the nation’s first end-to-end HL7 #FHIR prior authorization workflow in 2022, we have seen immediate improvements in efficiency, turnaround time, provider and patient satisfaction, and more. "It was a significant undertaking," Rotival shared with the roundtable. "But it successfully demonstrated how interoperability reduces the administrative burden, accelerates access, and improves the patient experience."
