🌍🍊 Capri-Sun participates at the World Cleanup Day 2024! 🍊🌍 The topic of “littering” is close to our hearts at Capri Sun, as our drinking pouches unfortunately sometimes end up in the environment. We are working on various campaigns to show consumers how to dispose of our packaging correctly. To set an active example against littering, our employees in Germany and Switzerland took part in the World Cleanup Day for the first time this year. Together with thousands of volunteers worldwide, we lent a hand and removed nearly 250kg of waste from the cityscape and the natural environment. A big thank you to all our employees involved in #Eppelheim and #Baar . ♻️ Our goal: We want to help make the world cleaner and more livable for future generations. We are working intensively on solutions to reduce our ecological footprint. Our new monomaterial pouch made of PP has the lowest CO2 footprint of any beverage package, it uses 5x less plastic than a PET bottle of the same format and is much lighter than any other beverage packaging. So overall, it needs less material while ensuring full recyclability so that all material used can find its way back into becoming new material. 💪 Stronger together: It is important that consumers dispose of our drinking pouches correctly to ensure optimal recycling. As recycling processes vary from country to country, you will find the relevant information on the back of the pouch for correct disposal. Only together can we create a clean environment. Vote for the recyclable plastic straw! At Capri-Sun, we're committed to innovating towards more sustainable solutions, whilst balancing convenience and functionality for consumers. We know that the switch to paper straws in 2021 hasn’t been ideal for many of you as it is less functional, and the pouch and paper straw need to be separated for recycling which is not always practical. Our old pouch was made of multiple materials and couldn’t be recycled. Earlier this year, we introduced a new pouch made from recyclable mono-material (PP). Our goal is to bring back recyclable plastic straws so that both the pouch and the straw can be recycled together. This way, you can dispose of both easily, without the paper straw polluting the recycling process. With your support, we can take a big step toward improving the overall recyclability of our products while at the same time ensuring a better usability.
