It’s difficult to get clients away from unit pricing - day rates. A top client of ours some years ago asked to quote for something they thought would take one “VP” level person a week to do. When we explored scope they realised it was a bigger job - 4 weeks they said. We said, very politely, if you have an employee who can do that in 4 weeks you should give it to them. They came back and we’ve been working with consistently for about 3 years now. When you’re confident in your product good clients see it. There’s always some negotiation of course, but don’t artificially inflate your price in preparation for a negotiation. Everyone can see that from miles away, and they talk.

I spend about 30 mins a day on LinkedIn looking for updates too, a number of my 1st connections post updates regularly. 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝟐 (𝐔𝐒): Besides paid subscription services, I would recommend the following: 1. Subscribe to alerts from the applicable regulatory bodies, including consent orders or enforcement actions. 2. Join a trade group or Compliance Circle to share ideas and updates amongst your peers. 3. Check for the latest RegTech platforms that may help track or feed updates from reg feeds. 4. Attend webinars and conferences. 5. Use Social Media like LinkedIn for posts and updates first thing in the morning in the time zone of your industry and region. 6. Ensure you have a good regulatory compliance attorney on speed-dial or to follow for their newsletters.
