How do we tackle emissions across the value chain? Last week at #WEF2024 in #Davos, our CEO Hilde Merete Aasheim joined a panel to discuss how electric vehicles, a promising solution to decarbonizing the automotive industry, need to account for the costs of producing batteries, embedded emissions in the materials used to produce the cars in the first place, and the end-of-life plans for when the cars are retired. Norsk Hydro ASA engages in the power production, bauxite extraction, alumina refining, aluminium smelting, remelting, and recycling activities; and provision of extruded solutions worldwide. It operates through Bauxite & Alumina, Aluminium Metal, Metal Markets, Extrusions, and Energy segments. The Bauxite & Alumina segment engages in bauxite mining activities, production of alumina, and related commercial activities, primarily the sale of alumina.
