The ratification of the Future Financing Act by the Bundestag is a huge moment for German tech. 

From January 1st 2024, improvements to German ESOP will include:

- Doubling of the threshold for turnover to qualify for better employee share options
- Increasing the max number of employees from 250 to 1,000
- Older companies now have scope to participate: companies up to 20 years old will now be eligible
